CANDESAL Water Systems is an operating division of ANS Technologies Inc. It was established in 2004 when ANS Technologies licensed the CANDESAL technology for seawater desalination.

The CANDESAL technology was developed by Dr. Roger Humphries and Dr. Keith Davies. They were active in the IAEA's coordinated research project on the economics of nuclear desalination. (1)
